XCome Preloads Mobile Windows Live™ Messenger Solution Sony Ericsson Taiwan Upcoming Handsets

. Date of Release: 2009-10-12
Taipei, Taiwan – Oct 12, 2009 – XCome Technology, a mobile services provider announced today the preload of the Java and Symbian editions of the mobile Windows Live™ Messenger (WLM) beginning with the Sony Ericsson T715 for the Taiwan market. The WLM client will be preloaded on all upcoming Sony Ericsson handsets in Taiwan including the new flagship models: Satio, Aino, and Yari, to name just a few. This mobile client is distinctive from other mobile IM offerings because it is a global first for a preloaded WLM client on Sony Ericsson handsets to directly connect to the favorable flat rate pricing schemes offered by Chunghwa Telecom, Taiwan Mobile, and FarEasTone (covering 100% of Taiwan’s GSM carriers.)

When the user inserts their carrier SIM card into their Sony Ericsson device, they simply click on the Windows Live Messenger icon to launch the preloaded WLM client. The client will automatically detect which mobile carrier service the user belongs to and allow them to seamlessly sign up and enjoy the WLM service using an economic monthly flat-rate.

Supporting popular mobile IM features such as group chat, real-time status, pre-stored messages/shortcuts and over 80 of the most popular emoticons, XCome will continue to provide innovative features.

States Jack Yang, XCome CEO: “To build rapid adoption of the Windows Live Messenger (WLM) for mobile service, XCome Technology worked closely with Sony Ericsson Taiwan to preload the WLM client directly on Sony Ericsson handsets. Because the Sony Ericsson T715 and upcoming multimedia models are high performance 3.5G devices, connecting to Windows Live Messenger, the number one IM service in Taiwan and market-proven social network, is an excellent match and value-add.”
