Taipei, Taiwan – February 4, 2010 – XCome Technology, a mobile services provider announced the launch of the Windows Live Messenger for Mobile major client upgrade supporting Microsoft’s latest MSP 3.0 Protocol. This mobile client supports over one hundred fifty brands and models on Chunghwa Telecom, Taiwan Mobile, and FarEasTone, covering Taiwan’s top three mobile operators. The software upgrade includes a redesigned user friendly interface with greater emoticons support, and innovative features such as “offline messaging” so you won’t miss messages when you are logged off and a convenient “canned (pre-stored) messages” feature which is completely customizable to suit your personal needs. The new version is also greener by saving energy with less drain on your handset battery power.

Explains Jack Yang, CEO of XCome, “In addition to the enhancements in look and feel and features, the relaunched Windows Live Messenger client improves on the connection stability as well, which is one of the major advantages of upgrading to the MSP 3.0 protocol. To encourage existing and new users to try the revamped Windows Live Messenger 3.0 client and flat-rate service, we worked closely with Microsoft and our mobile carrier partners to develop a special cross-carrier promotion.”

Starting from January 2010, new users can experience Windows Live Messenger with a one month free trial. For any user (existing or new) who logs into Windows Live Messenger, the more they login, the greater their chance of winning prizes in a monthly lucky draw for e-movie tickets and the latest Sony Ericsson handsets. In one month alone, we have already seen significant growth in Windows Live Messenger for mobile client use as well as growth in new user signups which is a positive sign.”
